Walter Cronkite died last night. It truly IS the end of an era--of faith in the news, and in a particular newscaster. Cronkite was the face and sound of news during my entire lifetime, and before. It was he who told the world what was happening at some of the most critical times of our history. And now, he too, has passed into the Ages. He was only 92. Impossible to believe that he didn't live forever.....
